SSC 2027 Exams Likely to be Held in December to Tackle Session Jam
Speaking after a high-level meeting at the Secretariat on Saturday, April 25, 2026, regarding transfer policies for MPO-listed teachers, the Minister revealed plans to hold the SSC and equivalent examinations of 2027 ahead of schedule—potentially by December of this year.
The Education Minister explained that the primary goal of this decision is to restore the academic calendar to its pre-pandemic normalcy. The examination schedule had been disrupted in recent years due to the post-COVID-19 situation and various political developments. Dr. Milan emphasized the government's firm commitment to removing the "curse of session jams" from students' lives. Following the SSC schedule adjustment, the HSC examinations of 2027 will also be brought forward, although specific dates for the HSC exams have yet to be finalized.
On the same day, the Minister held detailed discussions with senior officials regarding the long-awaited Transfer Policy for MPO-listed teachers and employees. He informed journalists that the new policy would be implemented soon to make the transfer process more transparent, simplified, and teacher-friendly. He expressed hope that this would reduce the suffering of teachers and improve the overall teaching environment in educational institutions. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Ministry of Education and top officials from relevant directorates.
