On Wednesday (April 15), the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka confirmed that this assistance is being provided to support the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s urgent immunization drive. This initiative aims to protect approximately 12 million children under the age of five from these highly contagious diseases.

The vaccine supply is part of the Trump administration’s ‘America First Global Health Strategy.’ By preventing disease outbreaks abroad, the program seeks to strengthen the global health infrastructure and ensure the safety of both the United States and Bangladesh. The mission underscores a shared commitment to safeguarding citizens from infectious diseases and building a resilient health system for future generations.
