National Parliament Passes 13 Bills Validating Interim Government Ordinances
During the 11th day of the first session on Wednesday (April 8), these bills were presented and passed across two sessions by relevant ministers. Key legislations, including the Anti-Terrorism (Amendment) Act-2026 and the July Mass Uprising (Protection and Liability Determination) Act-2026, have now been formally enacted.
The morning session focused on administrative and developmental laws, such as Government Audits and the Fish Conservation Act. The afternoon session saw the passage of more politically significant bills, including the repeal of special security for family members of the Father of the Nation and amendments to the Special Security Force (SSF) Act. These legislative approvals mark a definitive step in stabilizing the legal framework established following the July revolution, covering areas from civil procedure to investment authority regulations.
