Two projects have been sidelined for further review, while the remaining proposals are scheduled for discussion in the following week's session. Breaking from the long-standing tradition of meeting at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, this inaugural session took place at the Cabinet Room of the Secretariat for administrative convenience.

Following the formation of the new ECNEC committee on February 24, with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman as Chairperson and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir as Alternative Chairperson, this meeting marked a significant step in the government's development roadmap. Although no specific reason was cited for the change in venue, officials suggest it was done to streamline high-priority administrative tasks centered at the Secretariat. The Planning Ministry emphasized that the approved projects are vital for the country's socio-economic growth and will be prioritized for swift implementation to maintain national progress.
