Measles Outbreak in Bangladesh: 947 Suspected Cases and 3 Deaths in 24 Hours
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) report released this Friday (April 3), 947 people have been diagnosed with suspected measles between Thursday and Friday morning.
While 42 cases were clinically confirmed during this period with no confirmed deaths, the broader data since March 15 paints a concerning picture. Total suspected cases have reached 5,792, with 94 suspected deaths, while confirmed cases stand at 771 with 9 fatalities. Although 2,527 patients have recovered so far, the rapid spread of the disease has prompted health officials to urge citizens to complete vaccination schedules and seek immediate medical attention for symptoms.
