Speaking at a parliamentary session chaired by Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed Bir Bikram, the Premier detailed that an additional 30,000 families will be added to the scheme in the next three months. This initiative aims to modernize Bangladesh's social safety net through a digital framework, ensuring that the benefits reach those who need them most without any disparity.

A core feature of this program is that the cards will be issued in the name of the female head of each household. The Prime Minister emphasized that when financial aid is managed by women, it is more effectively utilized for the family's nutrition, healthcare, and education. This strategic decision is designed not only to reduce poverty but also to enhance the status and decision-making power of women within their families and society. Since its pilot launch on March 10 in 13 districts, the program has already benefited over 37,000 female-led households, marking a significant step toward achieving long-term national development goals.
