The State Minister noted, "With the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) led government now in power, India has reached out, expressing their desire to maintain and strengthen ties with the new administration." She highlighted that both nations are looking to enhance trade, commerce, and people-to-people connections.

Regarding the ongoing visa issues, Shama Obayed confirmed that India has assured the normalization of visa services soon. The focus will be on simplifying medical visas and restoring the previous ease of travel. Addressing human trafficking concerns in Libya, she emphasized that the government is taking strict measures against illegal traffickers to ensure that citizens travel abroad through legal and safe channels.
