PM’s Solidarity Letter Handed to Qatar's Emir: Foreign Advisor Strengthens Ties in Doha
The Prime Minister’s letter conveyed Bangladesh’s unwavering support for Qatar’s leadership and people amidst the current geopolitical tensions in the Gulf region. PM Tarique Rahman expressed sincere gratitude for the Qatar government's efforts in ensuring the welfare of over 450,000 Bangladeshi expatriates. He also specifically acknowledged the Emir’s generosity in facilitating a special air ambulance for former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia’s medical travel to London earlier this year.
During the visit, Advisor Humayun Kabir also met with Qatar’s Labor Minister, Ali bin Samikh Al Marri, offering condolences on behalf of the PM for the tragic loss of the Minister’s relative in a recent military helicopter accident. Following a review of consular services at the Bangladesh Embassy in Doha, the Foreign Advisor is scheduled to visit several other Gulf nations to further bolster regional diplomatic cooperation.
