This decision was shared by State Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment, Nurul Huq Nur, following a high-level meeting with the Prime Minister on Tuesday afternoon, March 24, 2026.

The State Minister explained that many students heading to countries like Japan, South Korea, China, and Germany face significant hurdles in proving financial solvency. To address this, the Prime Minister has instructed the Probashi Kallyan Bank to dedicatedly provide these loans to eligible students. The meeting also focused on accelerating previous Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to send 100,000 skilled workers to Japan and expanding manpower exports to European nations.

To ease the burden on Bangladeshi citizens who currently must travel to India for European visas, the Prime Minister has directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take steps to establish consular services or offices for those countries within Bangladesh. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of increasing the promotion of the government’s positive initiatives across both social media and mainstream news platforms.
