Prime Minister Tarique Rahman Returns to Secretariat as Government Offices Reopen After 7-Day Eid Break
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman marked the first working day by arriving at his office early in the morning to commence official duties and oversee administrative affairs.
The atmosphere at the Secretariat was festive as officials and staff members returned to their desks after the extended break. Upon his arrival, the Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by senior civil servants and department heads. Throughout the various ministries, employees were seen exchanging Eid greetings and embracing colleagues, maintaining the spirit of the festival even as they transitioned back to their professional responsibilities.
The nationwide Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations took place on March 21. To ensure a smooth and joyful holiday for citizens, the government had declared a continuous seven-day general holiday from March 17 to March 23. Starting today, all public and private sector organizations have reverted to their standard operating schedules. With the Prime Minister back at the helm of the Secretariat, the administration is expected to fast-track several pending development projects and policy decisions that were paused during the festive period.
