Oil Prices Maintained Despite Global Surge, Says Finance Minister Amir Khosru

Speaking at an event in Chattogram this Sunday (March 22), the Finance Minister highlighted the challenges of managing a fragile economy amid a global crisis.

He noted that while many countries have already raised fuel costs, Bangladesh has maintained stability through effective management, ensuring that transport remained undisrupted during the Eid holidays. However, the Minister warned that a prolonged war would inevitably increase pressure on the public.

He urged the citizens to remain resilient and practice restraint as the government navigates these external economic shocks. He emphasized that although the current administration inherited a downward-trending economy, they are committed to minimizing the burden on the common people for as long as possible.
