PM Tarique Rahman Decides to Stay in Gulshan, Opts Out of Jamuna Residence
This was confirmed today, Thursday (March 19), by the Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary, Atiqur Rahman Rumon. The Secretary clarified that the Prime Minister prefers his current residence in Gulshan for his stay.
According to the statement, the government has finalized plans to host the official Eid-ul-Fitr greetings at Jamuna. On Eid day, after offering prayers at the National Eidgah at 8:00 AM, the Prime Minister will exchange greetings with distinguished citizens at Jamuna starting from 10:00 AM. Previously, the Chief Adviser of the former interim government, Professor Muhammad Yunus, resided at Jamuna. While there were reports about the PM moving there after renovations, the official word confirms he remains at his Gulshan home.
