Eid Journey Comfortable, No Extra Fares Charged: Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam
After inspecting the Gabtoli Bus Terminal on Wednesday (March 18), he stated that no complaints regarding passenger suffering or extra fares have been received so far. He noted that some transports are even charging 20-30 BDT less than the fixed rate, and police booths are on high alert to take immediate action against any irregularities.
Regarding the fuel situation, the minister confirmed that adequate fuel supplies have been ensured since March 15, dismissing any rumors of a crisis in the transport sector. He highlighted that over 32,000 vehicles crossed the Jamuna Bridge yesterday, proving that fuel is readily available. With no significant traffic jams reported and buses maintaining their schedules, the minister expressed satisfaction with the current management of the Eid rush.
