PM Tarique Rahman Working on Public Holiday; Chaired Urgent Cabinet Meeting
He arrived at around 11:00 AM on Tuesday (March 17) and is scheduled to chair an emergency Cabinet meeting at 2:00 PM. Sources indicate that the meeting will focus on the escalating Iran-Israel conflict, national security, and preparations for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
Prior to the Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister is set to meet a delegation from BUET to discuss the local manufacturing of modern vacuum systems for waste management. He will also review the progress of the ‘Krishak Card’ (Farmer Card) initiative. While a seven-day long holiday for government officials began today, the Prime Minister continues his official duties to address critical national and international issues.
