Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance and Planning, shared this information on Monday (March 16) following a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Yao Wen. Drawing inspiration from India’s ‘Aadhaar Card,’ the government aims to modernize citizen identification and service delivery.

The Advisor emphasized a strategic shift in economic policy, moving away from foreign debt toward direct investment and industrialization. He noted that future cooperation with China and India would prioritize investments over loans to ensure sustainable growth. Titumir also criticized previous "unbalanced" energy deals and assured that new agreements would strictly protect national interests. Discussions also covered the progress of $20 billion worth of Chinese projects initiated in 2016 to determine future strategies.
