According to an official letter issued today (Monday), this decision aims to ensure seamless service for the residents of Dhaka-17, considering the extensive state responsibilities of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. It is noteworthy that following the 13th National Parliamentary Election held on February 12, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman was elected from both Dhaka-17 and Bogra-6. After choosing to retain the Dhaka-17 seat, he took oath as the 11th Prime Minister of Bangladesh on February 17. As the representative, Abdur Rahman Sunny will now facilitate local development and address public grievances to maintain the momentum of progress in this key constituency.
