Following an inspection of the site on Monday, March 16, 2026, the Administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), Abdus Salam, confirmed that the primary jamaat is scheduled for 8:30 AM, provided the weather remains favorable. In the event of heavy rain or inclement weather, the venue for the main congregation may be shifted to the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 9:00 AM.

The Administrator highlighted that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is expected to join the general public for the Eid prayers at the National Eidgah this year. To accommodate the anticipated crowd of approximately 35,000 worshippers, the DSCC has implemented several comfort and security measures. Given the ongoing heatwave, portions of the prayer area have been equipped with air conditioning, along with a significant number of fans and high-intensity lighting. The facility also includes dedicated ablution (wudu) areas, separate entrance gates for women, mobile toilets, and on-site primary healthcare services.

Security remains a top priority for the city authorities. Worshippers are requested to follow all safety protocols and avoid bringing any prohibited items that could interfere with the security screenings at the entrances. Senior officials from the City Corporation accompanied the Administrator during the visit to finalize the logistics for what is expected to be one of the largest religious gatherings in the capital.
