Acting Commissioner Md. Sarwar announced during a briefing at the DMP Media Center on Sunday that mobile courts will be permanently stationed at the city's major terminals, including Gabtoli, Sayedabad, Mohakhali, and Fulbaria. These courts are authorized to take immediate legal action against transport operators who charge more than the government-fixed rates or attempt to use unfit and hazardous vehicles for long-distance travel.

To ensure comprehensive security, the police have deployed a mix of uniformed officers and plainclothes detectives across all transit hubs and city entry points. This increased surveillance is designed to eliminate ticket scalping, extortion, and general harassment that often peaks during the festive rush. The Acting Commissioner confirmed that the authorities have already coordinated with transport owners and labor unions to enforce these rules strictly. Passengers are encouraged to approach terminal help desks or use emergency hotlines if they encounter any irregularities, as the government aims to provide a safe and orderly environment for the millions of people traveling this season.
