On Thursday (March 12), he submitted his formal resignation to the party's Chairman, stepping down from his role as the International Affairs Secretary of the BNP's National Executive Committee and all other organizational posts. His decision aims to uphold the neutrality and dignity required for his high-profile legislative role.

In his resignation letter, Barrister Kaiser Kamal stated that following his election as the Deputy Speaker of the House, it is essential for him to perform his duties with absolute impartiality. To maintain this constitutional standard, he voluntarily vacated his party positions. This move is consistent with parliamentary tradition, where presiding officers often distance themselves from partisan politics to ensure fair governance within the chamber.

Kaiser Kamal's resignation follows a similar move by Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed (Bir Bikrom), who resigned from the BNP's Standing Committee after being elected as the Speaker. Both leaders are signaling a commitment to lead the 13th Parliament beyond political bias. These high-level resignations occurred shortly after both leaders were sworn into their respective parliamentary offices earlier today, marking a significant step toward institutional reform.
