Expatriates' Welfare Ministry Stands by Families of 4 Bangladeshis Killed in Middle East Conflict
Speaking at Sylhet Osmani International Airport on Monday after receiving the remains of Ahmed Ali—who was killed in a missile attack in Dubai—the Minister confirmed that four Bangladeshis have lost their lives so far: one in Dubai, one in Bahrain, and two in Saudi Arabia.
The Minister emphasized that the ministry is monitoring the situation of injured workers currently undergoing treatment in various hospitals abroad. He personally accompanied the body of Ahmed Ali to his village in Moulvibazar for handover to the family, promising financial assistance from the government. Ahmed Ali, a dedicated worker in Dubai for 35 years, is survived by family members who expressed their gratitude to the authorities for the swift repatriation and constant communication during this tragic time.
