Hadi’s Family Demands Justice for Full Conspiracy, Not Just the Shooter
While expressing relief at Faisal's capture in West Bengal, Hadi’s sister, Masuma Hadi, emphasized on Monday morning, March 9, 2026, that punishing the "hired shooter" alone would not constitute complete justice. She urged the government to expose the political masterminds and financiers who allegedly orchestrated the assassination.
Investigation reports have already indicated that the murder was a highly organized operation. Police have previously seized a signed check worth BDT 218 crore linked to the conspiracy, suggesting massive financial backing. Furthermore, early charge sheets named 17 individuals, including several local political leaders, as co-conspirators. The family's primary concern is that the investigation might focus solely on those who pulled the trigger, allowing the high-profile figures who planned the attack and facilitated Faisal’s escape through the Haluaghat border to remain at large.
The case, which saw a major breakthrough with the assistance of the West Bengal Police STF and the DGFI, is currently being handled by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) following a "naraji" (dissatisfaction) petition from the victim's family. With Faisal and his associate Alamgir Hossain now undergoing repatriation, the family and the Inqilab Mancha are demanding a transparent trial that addresses the broader political motives behind the December 12 attack, which occurred during the lead-up to the 2026 national elections.
