On Wednesday morning, March 4, 2026, the State Minister arrived at the office at 9:05 AM, only to find the premises locked and entirely devoid of staff, despite the official opening time being 9:00 AM. After waiting for nearly thirty minutes on the office veranda, an employee finally arrived to open the doors, leading to significant frustration from the Minister.

By Thursday afternoon, March 5, Narayanganj District Commissioner Raihan Kabir confirmed that three individuals—Union Assistant Land Officer Nasir Uddin, Deputy Assistant Land Officer Omar Faruk, and Office Assistant Jannati—had been transferred to different upazilas as a direct consequence of their negligence. During his visit, Barrister Kaiser Kamal emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the government is maintaining a zero-tolerance policy toward administrative irregularities and corruption. He warned that public service delays would not be tolerated and that further departmental inquiries are underway.

The State Minister also highlighted that such surprise visits will continue nationwide to ensure that government offices remain accountable to the people they serve. He expressed his disappointment that citizens were forced to wait outside while the responsible officials were absent, noting that state responsibilities must be fulfilled with discipline and transparency.
