US-Bangla Repatriates 27 Stranded Biman Crew Members and Expatriates from Dubai
On the morning of Thursday, March 5, 2026, a special evacuation flight carrying 378 passengers landed safely at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
The Biman crew members had been stranded in Dubai since February 28, following the sudden suspension of flight operations due to the outbreak of hostilities in the region. After spending five days in a state of extreme uncertainty, they were brought home through a special arrangement coordinated by US-Bangla Airlines. The airline utilized its high-capacity, 436-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft to ensure that as many urgent travelers as possible could be accommodated.
