According to the investigation, nearly 90% of the teaching staff at this institution relied on fraudulent methods, including fake certificates, fabricated experience documents, and unauthorized appointments for subjects not approved by the ministry.

While the name of the institution has been withheld as the administrative probe is still ongoing, DIA officials confirmed that the fraud was detected using a combination of digital QR code scanning and direct verification with education boards. The investigation is part of a larger nationwide crackdown that has identified 466 teachers with fake certificates in the past year alone. Authorities have already initiated the process of stopping the salaries of those found guilty and are working to recover government funds (MPO) disbursed to these individuals illegally.

The scale of the fraud in Haluaghat has caused significant concern at both the local and national levels, highlighting systemic vulnerabilities in the recruitment process. DIA officials noted that while they have identified the irregularities, the final disciplinary actions are often delayed due to the complexity of the verification process and a backlog of files at the Ministry of Education. This case is currently being treated as a high-priority matter to ensure that qualified educators are not deprived of their rights by those using fraudulent credentials.
