Following a meeting with Indian High Commissioner Shri Pranav Kumar Varma at his office on Sunday (March 1), the Minister addressed reporters on various strategic issues. He noted that the border guards of both nations are in discussion to minimize border killings and ensure mutual security.

On domestic issues, the Minister stated that a final decision on the duration of the Army’s deployment in civilian duties will be made after an upcoming security meeting. He also shared plans to reform the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and mentioned that operations are underway to recover nearly 10,000 unreturned firearms. Furthermore, he directed the initiation of projects to expand Fire Service facilities to 27 underserved districts and warned that no corruption would be tolerated in the government recruitment process.
