'Family Card' Survey Launched in Lama
On Friday afternoon, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Moin Uddin launched the project by collecting data at West Hargaza Marma Para in the remote hilly union of Fashiakhali.
Initiated under the special direction of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the project aims to ensure social security for low-income families by providing 2,500 BDT per month or an equivalent amount of essential commodities. The inaugural ceremony was attended by Upazila Social Services Officer Tanveer Alam, along with local political leaders and public representatives.
To ensure transparency and accurate data collection, a dedicated Tag Officer has been appointed for each village. Furthermore, Livestock Officers have been assigned to supervise at the ward level, while Cooperative Officers will oversee the process at the union level. In the first phase, the project is being implemented in Ward No. 2 of Fashiakhali Union, with plans to expand the survey across the entire upazila gradually.
