PM Tarique Rahman to Visit Bogra on March 10 to Launch 'Family Card' Program

State Minister for Local Government, Mir Shahe Alam, announced the schedule on Friday (February 27) during his visit to Mahasthangarh.

Under this initiative, each card-holding family will receive a monthly allowance of 2,500 BDT. To empower women, the cards will be registered in the name of one female member per household. The pilot phase is starting at Ward No. 3 of Shakharia Union in Bogra Sadar. Following a four-month experimental period, the government plans to roll out this welfare scheme across all sub-districts nationwide. Dedicated committees at the district and Upazila levels are already verifying the list of eligible beneficiaries to ensure transparency.
