Major Shake-up in Bangladesh Army High Command: Key Positions Reassigned

In the new setup, Lieutenant General Mohammad Shahinul Huq, previously the Commandant of NDC, has been appointed as the new Quarter Master General. Conversely, the current QMG, Lieutenant General Faizur Rahman, will take over as the Commandant of the National Defence College.

Further appointments include Major General Hossain Al Morshed (formerly GOC of 19th Infantry Division) as the new Adjutant General. The outgoing AG, Major General Md. Hakimuzzaman, has been posted as the Commandant of MIST. Additionally, the current MIST Commandant, Major General Nasim Parvez, has been seconded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In another move, Major General Mohammad Kamrul Hasan has been appointed as the GOC of the Logistics Area, succeeding Major General Mostagauzur Rahman Khan, who is heading into regular retirement.
