Massive Recruitment Drive in Police: 180 Sergeants and 10,000 Constables to be Hired

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday (February 26), the Minister confirmed that 180 vacant Sergeant positions and 10,000 Constable positions will be filled shortly through the standard recruitment process.

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued a press release signed by Public Relations Officer Foysal Hasan, emphasizing the urgency of filling the Sergeant vacancies. Minister Ahmed also addressed the long-standing demand of the Police Association regarding a change in the police uniform, stating that a decision is currently under review and will be announced soon. This massive hiring initiative is seen as a strategic move to enhance public security and modernize the police force.
