Md. Mostakur Rahman Appointed as New Governor of Bangladesh Bank

With over three decades of experience in corporate finance, industrial management, and institutional governance, Mostakur Rahman is a prominent figure in the financial sector. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Hera Sweaters Ltd. and Chairman of BGMEA’s Standing Committee on Bangladesh Bank Affairs, he has held key positions including Board Member of the Chittagong Stock Exchange. Born in 1966, he graduated from the Department of Accounting at Dhaka University and is a Fellow Member of ICMAB. His expertise in financial risk management and export economics is expected to bring significant reforms to the banking sector.
