Speaking at the Secretariat on Tuesday (February 24), the Minister stated that political leaders are more connected to the masses than government officials, making them more effective in revitalizing inactive local government bodies and ensuring public service.

Upon joining their respective offices, the new administrators pledged to prioritize mosquito control, traffic management, and road repairs to ease public suffering. They also announced a 60-day action plan to ensure swift results. The six newly appointed administrators are scheduled to meet Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today to discuss city development and cleanliness initiatives.
