Govt to Hold Local Elections at Right Time: Mirza Fakhrul

He made these remarks during a press conference at the BNP's central office in Naya Paltan on Monday (February 23). This was his first visit to the party office since assuming his ministerial duties.

Fakhrul stated that the government is currently evaluating the legal procedures and expiry dates of various local bodies to facilitate the election process. He emphasized that the government is giving top priority to these elections. The Minister also highlighted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, a new vision for Bangladesh is being implemented. He noted that the Prime Minister has already established a strong position in the hearts of the people through his dynamic leadership and specific nation-building plans.
