Barrister Raghib Rauf Chowdhury Appointed as New Attorney General

The post fell vacant after the previous Attorney General, Md. Asaduzzaman, resigned to contest the national polls and subsequently took office as the Law Minister.

Barrister Raghib is the son of the late language movement hero and liberation war organizer, Abdur Rauf Chowdhury. An alumnus of Dhaka University and London's Lincoln's Inn, he is widely respected for his legal expertise. Raghib has pledged to uphold the rule of law and ensure good governance through the proper application of legal principles. His appointment is expected to strengthen the government's legal wing in the country's highest court.
