Identify Genuine Farmers to Ensure Direct Govt Services: PM

Presiding over a meeting regarding the introduction of 'Farmer Cards' at the Cabinet Division conference room on Monday (February 23), the Prime Minister stated that agriculture remains the backbone of the national economy. He stressed the need for maximizing technological integration to improve the living standards of farmers.

The Prime Minister noted that the smart card system is being launched to eliminate middlemen, ensuring that marginal farmers receive fair prices and government incentives without hassle. During the meeting, technical aspects, distribution methods, and progress on the farmer database were discussed. The Prime Minister directed officials to implement this transparent and modernized process at the field level as quickly as possible. Cabinet members and high-ranking officials were present at the meeting.
