Teesta Mega Plan to be Implemented via Integrated Project: Relief Minister
Speaking to reporters on Monday (February 23) after a meeting with top divisional officials in Rangpur, the Minister emphasized that the project would focus on river training and dredging to benefit nearly 20 million people in the region. He assured that the government would ensure no budgetary discrimination against Rangpur in the future.
During the meeting, the Minister directed local administrations to control commodity prices, ensure stable power supply, and maintain law and order. He also highlighted plans to advance Rangpur industrially. Responding to a query, Dulu noted that any family affected by violence, including those from August 5, has the right to seek legal justice. The Minister began his two-day visit to the region by paying floral tributes to language martyrs in Lalmonirhat on International Mother Language Day.
