PM Tarique Rahman Releases Commemorative Stamp on International Mother Language Day
During a ceremony held at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon on Saturday morning, he also unveiled an opening envelope and a souvenir canceller. This initiative serves as a state-level tribute to preserve the memory and legacy of the 1952 language heroes.
The event marked a significant milestone as it was Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s first day conducting official duties at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Tejgaon since assuming leadership of the government on February 17. Upon his arrival at 10:10 AM, he was greeted with a warm reception. He was received by Principal Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman. The commencement of his dactylic journey at the PMO with the unveiling of a memorial for the Language Movement is seen as a highly symbolic and significant gesture for the nation.
