Chinese Premier Li Qiang Congratulates Tarique Rahman

In his congratulatory note, Li described China and Bangladesh as long-standing friendly neighbors and comprehensive strategic cooperative partners. Over the 51 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, the two countries have maintained mutual respect and fostered mutually beneficial cooperation, setting a strong example of bilateral exchange. He also expressed China’s support for the new government of Bangladesh in ensuring smooth governance.

The Chinese premier emphasized the importance of advancing high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and expanding exchanges across various sectors. He called for elevating the China-Bangladesh comprehensive strategic partnership to a new level for the greater benefit of both nations’ peoples.

Li Qiang further stated that he looks forward to working closely with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to strengthen bilateral relations.
