Tarique Rahman Takes Oath as Prime Minister

Earlier in the morning, following the oath-taking of the newly elected BNP Members of Parliament, a parliamentary party meeting was held with Tarique Rahman in the chair.

During the meeting, in light of the party’s absolute majority in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, he was unanimously elected as the Leader of the House and Prime Minister.

At around 10:45am, Tarique Rahman along with the party’s MPs formally took oath as members of the new government. They later convened a meeting to discuss their next course of action.
