On behalf of NCP, the party’s Convener Nahid Islam and General Secretary Akhtar Hossain signed the document in the presence of the Chief Advisor.

Also present were the Vice-Chairman of the National Consensus Commission, Professor Ali Riaz, Commission member Badiul Alam Majumdar, and the Chief Advisor's special assistant Monir Haider. The NCP delegation also included central leaders Sarwar Tushar, Monira Sharmin, Zayed Rasin, and Zahirul Islam Musa.

After the signing, NCP's Convener Nahid Islam briefed the media, stating, "Our party has signed the accord, excluding the dissent notes from other political parties." He added, "Although we signed later, we were at the forefront for the implementation of this accord."

Chief Advisor Professor Yunus remarked, "This document should lay the foundation for building a new Bangladesh as a humane country, and we must stay vigilant every moment to achieve that."

It is notable that the National Consensus Commission, after extensive discussions with 33 political parties and alliances over seven months, organized the signing of the "July National Accord, 2025" on October 17, 2022, at the South Plaza of the National Parliament in Dhaka. On that day, 24 political parties signed the accord.

Although the NCP did not sign at that time, they had voiced concerns and outlined their demands, which included the immediate publication of the draft implementation order of the Accord and the condition that dissenting opinions would not be valid if the public voted in favor of the accord in a referendum.

Later, on November 13, 2023, the President issued the "July National Accord (Constitutional Amendment) Implementation Order, 2025." Subsequently, on February 12, a referendum was held on 48 out of 84 reform proposals in the accord, with the "Yes" votes emerging victorious.
