Court Orders Seizure of 604.39 Acres of Land Belonging to Nasir Group Chairman's Wife

On Monday (February 16), the Senior Special Judge of Dhaka, Mohammad Sabbir Fayez, passed the order based on the application by the ACC. The total value of the seized land has been estimated at 42,770,214 BDT.

Assistant Director of ACC, Muhammad Shihab Salam, applied for the seizure, stating that Nasrin Islam had accumulated assets worth 202,659,850 BDT through corruption, abuse of power, and bribery. A case was filed against her in this regard.

During the investigation, it was revealed that Nasrin Islam was attempting to sell or transfer various properties, both movable and immovable, under her name. The court has ordered the seizure of these assets to prevent any illegal transfer, as such actions could cause significant damage to the state before the case is resolved.
