Chief adviser sends message congratulating Jamaat chief

In a message issued Saturday, Yunus thanked the Jamaat chief for active participation in the election and for accepting the results in a calm and dignified manner.

He said Rahman’s restrained political conduct and calls for peaceful behavior helped maintain national stability during the election period.

Yunus also expressed gratitude for the party’s constructive support during the interim government’s tenure and stressed the need for responsible political engagement amid global and domestic challenges.

He voiced hope that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami would play a constructive opposition role in parliament and help strengthen principled political culture.

The message concluded with wishes for Rahman’s health and well-being and a call for continued efforts toward national unity.
