Govt Approves BDT 314 Crore Procurement for Medicines and Medical Supplies
Under the sanctioned plan, the government will acquire 1.48 million GeneXpert cartridges for tuberculosis diagnosis at a cost of BDT 237.12 crore, with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) acting as the supplier under the Direct Purchase Method.
Additionally, a contract worth BDT 77.56 crore was approved for Renata PLC to supply 53.8 million units of Anti-TB drugs (4FDC). In the same meeting, the committee decided to delegate the authority to the concerned ministry for renewing internet service contracts with Grameenphone for over 40,000 government primary schools under the PEDP-4 project.
