50th BCS Preliminary Results Published: 12,385 Candidates Qualify
A total of 12,385 candidates have successfully passed the examination and are now eligible to move forward to the next stage: the written examination.
The preliminary test was held simultaneously on January 30, 2026, across 190 centers in eight divisional cities: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh. This year, 290,951 applicants vied for the positions. In line with its "One BCS, One Year" roadmap, the Commission aimed to process the results as quickly as possible to avoid long delays for candidates and to bring talented individuals into the civil service within a shorter timeframe.
Through the 50th BCS, a total of 2,150 candidates will be recruited for both cadre and non-cadre positions. Out of these, 1,755 are designated cadre posts. The Health Cadre has the highest number of vacancies with 650 seats, followed by 200 in the Administration Cadre and 117 in the Police Cadre. There is also significant recruitment planned for the Education Cadre. The 12,385 successful preliminary candidates will now begin their intensive preparations for the written exams to secure a spot in their desired cadre services.
