Under this new amendment, the PSC will no longer require prior government approval for fund expenditures, a move designed to enhance its functional autonomy and efficiency. The meeting also greenlit the 'National Qualification Framework Policy 2026' to standardize educational streams for global recognition and the 'National Fisheries Policy 2026' to modernize sustainable fish production and the blue economy.

Furthermore, the council approved an agreement for deputing military personnel to the Qatar Armed Forces and gave policy approval for a 650-acre 'Free Trade Zone' on the banks of the Karnaphuli River. Press Secretary Shofiqul Alam added that the Chief Adviser hailed the recently signed Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) with Japan as a "milestone" achievement, which will grant duty-free access to approximately 7,400 Bangladeshi products in the Japanese market.
