Speaking at a press conference at the Nirbachan Bhaban yesterday, Election Commissioner Anwarul Islam Sarker clarified that the full results will likely be collected and published by the afternoon of Friday, February 13, just a day after the polls. He attributed this rapid processing to the implementation of modern automation systems and digital devices, though he noted that results from extremely remote or inaccessible areas might experience slight delays.

Addressing the security and readiness for the February 12 polls, Commissioner Anwarul stated that the initial apprehensions regarding the election have been resolved through collective efforts. He announced that a record-breaking 1.1 to 1.2 million security personnel will be deployed nationwide to maintain law and order. To ensure transparency, CCTV cameras have been installed in polling centers with electricity, and field-level security officers have been instructed to use body-worn cameras during their duties.

The Commission has also established a robust monitoring structure, with multiple teams in each constituency relaying information to a central cell every two hours. Furthermore, a specialized Fact-Finding Cell has been activated to monitor social media and prevent the spread of misinformation or fake results. Commissioner Anwarul emphasized that these measures are designed to deliver a credible and peaceful election, urging voters to participate without fear as the nation prepares for this historic democratic transition.
