He made these remarks during an exchange of views with media personnel at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday (February 5). The Adviser said, "Some individuals who met with me asked whether the Awami League is participating, but not everyone did. I told them that under the current circumstances, the Awami League is not taking part."

During his farewell meeting with journalists, the Foreign Adviser added, "We expect the election to take place within a week. Although some remain skeptical, I see no reason for the election not to happen. Nothing in life is perfect, and perfection in elections is rare. However, the key factor is whether the election represents the will of the people."

Drawing a comparison with India, he noted, "I stayed in India for a long time. They take pride in being the world's largest democracy, yet even there, elections are not always perfect. Small issues often exist, but the most important thing is that the public's opinion is accurately reflected."
