Interim Government to Transfer Power ASAP After Election
In a post shared on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday night, he labeled these claims as "malicious propaganda" and a "new conspiracy theory."
In his post, Abul Kalam Azad Majumder wrote, “Those spreading the narrative that the government will stay in power for another 180 working days after the election have dishonest motives. These are the same individuals who previously tried to create uncertainty about the election. Now that they see the election is happening on schedule, they have come up with a new conspiracy theory.”
He expressed regret that even many highly educated individuals are being confused by such misleading information. He clarified that there is no scope for such an extension. He firmly stated that the current interim government will hand over state responsibilities to the elected representatives as soon as possible following the 13th National Parliamentary Election, scheduled for February 12.
Political analysts believe this statement clears the air regarding the recent claims circulating on social media, which suggested that the government would retain power for an extended period even after the election results are finalized.
