The Ambassador emphasized that as Bangladesh prepares for graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC) category, sustained and predictable international support is more crucial than ever. He also pointed out that accessible and increased climate financing is essential for climate-vulnerable nations to address losses and damages effectively. Supporting the ongoing UN reforms, Ambassador Chowdhury stressed the necessity of UNDP’s country-specific mandates and programs. He also extended his congratulations to the newly appointed UNDP Administrator, Alexander De Croo, assuring him of Bangladesh’s full support in his leadership.
