Speaking during a coordination meeting in Gazipur on Tuesday (February 3), the Army Chief emphasized that there is no possibility of the election not taking place, as all relevant agencies—including the Election Commission, administration, and the three wings of the Armed Forces—are fully committed and capable of executing the process.

Addressing potential threats to the electoral process, General Waker-Uz-Zaman warned about the possible misuse of mobile banking for illegal financial transactions aimed at influencing the polls. He also mentioned that while some criminals might attempt to intimidate voters, the security forces are vigilant and have coordinated with the Election Commission to mitigate such risks. The Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral M Nazmul Hassan, and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, were also present during the visit, showcasing a unified military commitment to ensuring a stable environment for the upcoming democratic exercise.
