The Ex-Forces Association, an organization of former armed forces members, has strongly condemned the incident and issued a 24-hour ultimatum for a public apology. Failure to comply, they warned, would lead to him being declared "PNG" (Persona Non Grata) or unwelcome within the Cantonment area.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, February 3, signed by the association’s president, Lt. Col. Saifullah Khan Saif (Retd), it was alleged that Khaliduzzaman attempted to enter the Cantonment area while carrying a firearm. When security personnel intercepted him, he reportedly became enraged and directed abusive remarks toward the soldiers. “A political identity does not grant anyone a license to stand above the law,” the statement read. “This behavior is a direct assault on the morale of the military and national discipline.”

The Ex-Forces Association emphasized that the Cantonment is a sensitive state security zone where political influence has no place. They further warned that there would be no compromise regarding the dignity of the military or the laws of the land. The serious allegations against the Dhaka-17 candidate have sparked widespread discussion in the area as the election approaches.
